Trafficking is a serious problem all over the world, affecting the lives of millions of people and depriving them of their rights and dignity. Every day, traffickers lure and manipulate helpless people into exploitative situations such as sexual exploitation, child begging, forced labour, forced marriage, domestic slavery, or organ removal.
The National Anti-Trafficking Committee (NATC) actively works in the areas of rescue, protection, prevention, rehabilitation, reintegration, and legal support and advocacy to combat this severe crime.
We work to eradicate the abuse and harm caused by human trafficking and to protect women and children from the dangers of human trafficking by defending their rights and dignity, as well as providing for their education, health, and other basic necessities. We feel that adequate facilities should be provided in native areas so that parents do not resort to various methods of selling their children for monetary gain. Certain views regarding women and young girls, in particular, should be altered.
We work to prevent child labour and forced sex, to save dropout students, to prevent early marriage, to protect human rights, to protect animal rights, to protect migrant workers, to stop the trafficking of physically handicapped and disabled people and to provide them with food, shelter, medical care, clothing, and other assistance, to provide financial support to run schools, colleges, and research centres, to provide services to domestic violence and sexual assault centres, reproductive health centres, shelters for runaway, homeless and street youth.
NATC collaborates extensively with government officials at all levels, including the Central, State, National, and International levels. Our projects include the development of the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY), in the social justice and empowerment department, and in the child and social welfare department. We've also worked on UNO projects and are involved in an international rescue centre.
NATC is a global movement of activists from all sectors of society who devote their time, energy and heart to building resilient communities with their extreme care and innovative strategies. We are a multi-disciplinary group fighting a complicated crime and preventing human trafficking. We campaign for a #trafficking-free nation!
