SK Jinnar Ali is currently the Chairperson of the National Board of Council, National Anti-Trafficking Committee.
Mr. Ali, as Chairperson, has overseen the successful completion of numerous projects in India and abroad. His unwavering determination to end human trafficking (of children, women, and men) and violence against women has resulted in the development of his social skills, for which he has garnered numerous accolades and recognition. He aided people in obtaining justice from the judicial system. He rescued a few raped victims, provided them with refuge, and ensured their safety. He spoke his mind in front of society countless times, and he was so fearless that he never did a backflip to work against all circumstances.
Some of his great laurels and awards include the ‘Great Question of Life Award’ by the International Correspondence Institute of London in 1999, the ‘Best Social Worker Award’ by the All India Education Society in Uttar Pradesh (India) in 2012, the ‘Edu Ratan Award’ by Sri Arup Roy, Minister in Charge, Govt. of West Bengal in 2014, the ‘Banga Ratna Shri Award’ by the Indian Freelance Journalist & Photographer Welfare Foundation in 2017, the ‘Legend of Bengal’ and ‘Jeevan Jyoti Award’ in 2018, and “Covid Warriors Certificate” by the International Human Rights Commission in 2020.
He has obtained his Master’s degree in English from Rabindra Bharati University and an MBA from ISBM Bangalore. He also holds the Human Rights Diploma from IGNOU.
Mr. Ali started as an editor at the Media Academy in 2010. Then he proceeded to Northwestern University in the United States to finish his research in public policy and administration.
NATC will undoubtedly reach new heights under his capable leadership.
