NATC rescues 23-year-old woman from Punjab
On July 5, 2017, Bilkis Khatun, a woman from East Burdwan's Khandakosh, went missing from her home. Her father reported her missing to the police, but they were unable to locate her. Mr. SK Jinnar Ali, the secretary of NATC, took up the case when her father approached him. Mr. Ali traced her phone number right away and learned that she had been taken to the Ludhiana Railway Station in Punjab. The NATC team rescued her with the help of Punjab Police.
NATC saves a teenage girl from terrorists
A teen girl was kidnapped by a group of terrorists. One of the NATC members reported the girl to Basirhat Police, who retrieved her from Natunhat, North 24pgs.
NATC lends a helping hand
A 4-year-old boy from Barasat, North 24 pgs, has neuroblastoma cancer, and his parents urgently required 45 lakh rupees for his surgery in Singapore. In this case, Mr. Jinnar Ali assisted and supported the needy family.
NATC rescues and reunites an Afghan wife with her husband
The National Anti-Trafficking Committee has saved yet another family. Following the Taliban's takeover of Afghanistan, a man from Kolkata was separated from his Afghan wife, who was trapped in the war-torn country.
Shubhrato Dutta, from Nagerbazar, was concerned about his 35-year-old wife Hasho, who was in Kabul. Mr. Dutta has been trying to contact her over the phone from Ahmedabad, where he was on assignment, but she has remained incommunicado, with the exception of a brief interaction on an online site on 16th August’21. Mr. Dutta was concerned that the Taliban would target her out because she was married to a Hindu, and she has a marriage certificate with his name on it, as well as her Indian entry visa.
On August 17, 2021, Mr. Dutta met with the chairman of National Anti-Trafficking Committee in an attempt to reclaim his wife. SK Jinnar Ali, the chairman of the National Anti-Trafficking Committee, said that NATC had already begun discussions with the PMO, external affairs, and the Indian Embassy in Kabul for her rescue.
INTERNATIONAL
NATC rescues 150 migrant labourers
With the assistance of government officers, NATC was able to rescue approximately 150 people from Iran, Malaysia, Tanzania, and Dubai.
Various agents lured needy, naive Indian labourers with false promises of employment in foreign countries. They were imprisoned and faced threats of violence. The people were rescued by the NATC crew and returned to their homes in India.
IRAN AND MALAYSIA
NATC: Indian goldsmiths stranded in Iran and Malaysia return home
In Iran and Malaysia, a group of goldsmiths were imprisoned and threatened with violence. They were able to call NATC and inform them of the situation on October 21, 2018. On October 30, 2018, the NATC Team returned to India with eight people.
TANZANIA
Innocent labourers return to India-NATC
Some selfish agents purposefully transported Indian labourers to Tanzania without a visa. The innocent labourers were seized by Tanzanian police upon their arrival, and the Resident's Magistrate court of Dar Es Salaam at Kisutu condemned them to a fine of five lakh rupees and six months jail.
When the families of the imprisoned labourers brought their case to NATC on November 23, 2018, the team provided advocacy and legal help, and they were successfully released from Tanzania prison on December 4, 2018. On December 7, 2018, the labourers returned to their homeland of India.
NATC rescues girls sold into sexual slavery
A few young women were trafficked and sold for sexual slavery in squalid conditions. The NATC Team was effective in saving girls' lives.
DUBAI
Trafficked Indian boy brought back home-NATC
On November 26, 2018, NATC was notified of a new case involving a person detained in Dubai. Ibran, the victim of human trafficking, was arrested and threatened by traffickers in Dubai. On May 12, 2018, the NATC team was successful in bringing him back to India.
Father pleads NATC to rescue body and arrange funeral of his son
Mr. Saifulla Mondal of Chamta Village, North 24 Parganas, stated that his son, Mr. Sahajahan Mondal, perished in a traffic accident while on the job in Saudi Arabia. As the father did not have the wherewithal to bring back the body, he requested that NATC transport the body to India and arrange for cremation.
